workshops & musical direction
In addition to being a Visiting Lecturer in Music at The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, Naomi is the Musical Director for The LIPA Big Band: the University's extracurricular jazz ensemble, open to brass, woodwind and rhythm section instrumentalists. The ensemble offers students the chance to explore sight-reading and improvisation, often collaborating with the LIPA Choir and String Ensemble to form the LIPA Orchestra. The LIPA Big Band frequently performs at the LIPA Christmas Concert at the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall and has also sold-out it's own dedicated show at the Liverpool Philharmonic Music Rooms.

She has also been a member of the LIPA Widening Participation Team (WP) since 2016, running CEIAG activities such as PHSE workshops, Alumni Masterclasses and Q&A events in schools and colleges, as well as creating and leading Popular Music and Musical Theatre single day, multi-day and summer school residential workshops for children aged 11-17 year's old. She is DBS-checked.

Naomi has also freelanced as a Musical Director across Liverpool, including for the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Youth Company, where she led 4 months of Big Band workshops with the Liverpool Philharmonic Youth Session Orchestra and conducted their sell-out 'Big Band Holiday' 2023 Christmas concert at The Tung Auditorium. ​
